Islamic Relief France (SIF), in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, signed 14 grant agreements with farmers from the towns of Beit Qad and Deir Ghazaleh, east of Jenin Governorate. This initiative falls under the "Improving Livelihoods and Mitigating the Impact of Climate Change" project, implemented under the supervision of the Jenin Directorate of Agriculture.
The project aims to support farmers and enhance their resilience to climate change by establishing greenhouse units of half a dunam (approximately 0.5 acres) per beneficiary. Fourteen farmers benefited from the project, seven in Deir Ghazaleh and seven in Beit Qad.
The agreements were signed in the presence of the Director General of the Jenin Directorate of Agriculture, Engineer Raed Abu Khalil, the project coordinator, Engineer Jawad Zakarna, and the Islamic Relief France team.
The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these projects are part of its strategy to support sustainable livelihoods, increase agricultural production efficiency, and strengthen farmers' resilience in the face of environmental and climate challenges, in cooperation with all local and international partners.
